What a Pleasant Morning!

We awaken to many situations in our lives. There is weather that effects us, physical needs that may trouble us, financial problems that may trail after us, circumstances that will indeed challenge us.

No matter your situation, you awaken to a very pleasant morning because you awaken to God's new mercies, Lamentations 3:23. What a blessing to be given life, today, by the Life-giver!

R. A. Torrey gives us a great list. He has expressed His mercy in a myriad of ways. In Luke 1:78, Zacharias said it was through the mercies of God that the Lord Jesus (the dayspring) came.

Our salvation is a blessing of His mercy. Titus 3:5-6 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

Lamentations 3:22 our God is very patient with us because He is very merciful. [It is of] the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

The Mother of our Lord said this in her great hymn to her Son in Luke 1. Luke 1:50 And his mercy [is] on them that fear him from generation to generation.

Here is a blessing. There is mercy for us when we backslide, Joel 2:13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he [is] gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. This is precious, Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

His Mercy is purposeful, Romans 9:15, For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

This is a very pleasant morning because our Lord has expressed His wonderful mercy to us. Be thankful for the mercies of God today. No matter what your need is today, He has great mercy and is merciful.

Have a wonderful day serving our Wonderful Lord, by Grace Alone!
